Rita Ora, 35, made a striking appearance at the premiere of the Disney film Descendants: Wicked Wonderland in Los Angeles on July 14, 2026. The pop star wore a see-through red corset gown that paid tribute to her character, the Queen of Hearts, and blew kisses to the cameras at the star-studded event.
Reunion with Taika Waititi
Ora reunited with her husband, director Taika Waititi, 50, at the premiere. The couple had not attended an event together for months due to conflicting work schedules. Waititi is known for directing films such as Thor: Ragnarok and Jojo Rabbit.

Ora discussed her role as the Queen of Hearts, saying: "I've always felt like I had that villain Queen of Hearts strain. In this movie she is nicer, but is she really? I love that the Queen of Hearts has two sides to her." She added that the character "will do anything to protect her babies. She has an extra baby in this one so I have two girls now."
The singer also revealed that she and fellow singer Brandy, who plays Cinderella, got into "so much naughty stuff" behind the scenes. Ora, who is stepmother to Waititi's two daughters, said they bonded over their motherly instincts. "I really tapped into my motherly instinct in this movie because we find out that I have another daughter in this new sort of universe. I will do anything to protect my kids," she explained.
Cast and Plot
The film is the fifth in the Descendants franchise. Kylie Cantrall returns as Red, the daughter of the Queen of Hearts, and Malia Baker reprises her role as Chloe Charming, daughter of Cinderella and King Charming. Newcomers include Liamani as Pink, Kiara Romero as Hazel, and Alexandro Byrd as Luis. The plot follows Red and Chloe as they defend everyone from an unexpected villain, Maddox Hatter, when Wonderland hosts the Kingdom Cup Games.

Descendants: Wicked Wonderland premiered on Disney Channel on July 16, 2026, and is available on Disney+ as of the same day.
