Princess Andre has opened up about her parents, Peter Andre and Katie Price, working together again after their recent truce. The former husband and wife will appear together on the next season of Princess's ITV reality show, The Princess Diaries.
Background of the Truce
Pop singer Peter and former glamour model Katie were married between 2005 and 2009 and are parents to Junior, 20, and Princess, 18. The pair had a public falling out last year. In February, they issued a joint statement to end their long-running feud, coinciding with Katie's fourth marriage to Lee Andrews.
The statement read: "Katie Price and Peter Andre have decided to close the door on the past and move forward into a new chapter with positivity and respect. We are both focused on creating a calm and supportive environment for our children. We have reached a mutual agreement, both legally and personally, confirming that neither of us will speak negatively about the other going forward. This decision reflects a shared commitment to our family and stability. We want to stand united for our children. We are hoping this is a start of a positive relationship. We ask for understanding and support from both the media and the public as we move ahead."
The Princess Diaries Season 3
The pair will now be seen together in the third series of Princess's ITV reality show. Premiering last year, it was one of the biggest ITV2 launches outside of Love Island and Big Brother in terms of viewership. The series follows Princess as she continues to build her career as an influencer, boasting over 940,000 followers on Instagram. Fans have praised Princess for not shying away from talking about being raised in the public eye.
Speaking to The Sun, Princess said: "Both parents are in this show, it's always good filming with our parents, they know what they are doing. I feel like having family involved is so much more fun to film." Junior added: "It just solidifies the truce that they've already come out and done."
Sibling Bond and Future Plans
One aspect of the series fans have loved is seeing the close relationship between Princess and Junior. While they sometimes bicker, more often than not the siblings get along well. Princess commented: "Filming with my brother is so much fun, the whole point of reality TV is that it's meant to be real and you get to see the real connections on there. It's nice to be with my brother and have both parents in it because I'm really close to them and everyone can see that."
With season two showing Princess getting back into dating, she confirmed that won't be the case in season three. She explained: "This series you won't see anything about dating, just purely because I've been focusing so much on my beauty brand and things that are really important. You won't see any dating but who knows what will happen in the future."
Princess recently made her presenting debut on the ITV talk show This Morning, showcasing her hosting skills by helping a group of teenage girls find their dream prom dresses.
