Princess and Junior Andre 'rely on each other' amid fame

Princess Andre and her brother Junior Andre put on a united front as they promoted series three of her hit show The Princess Diaries on Friday. The siblings hit the red carpet and spoke to The Mirror about their tight bond.

Growing Up in the Limelight

Addressing growing up in the limelight courtesy of their famous parents Katie Price and Peter Andre, who both appear in Princess' show this series, Junior said: "We've got each other. We've got a big family. We love each other, and we're supportive. So, we just stay by each other's side, uplift each other, and just keep each other motivated."

Earlier this month, the siblings were seen breaking down in tears over their mother Katie's past drug use in a new documentary on Sky. While the pair declined to comment on the topic, it was clear their bond is stronger than ever.

Princess Praises Junior's Advice

Praising her brother, Princess shared how Junior "always gives the best advice" and is the person she turns to for everything. She told The Mirror: "I literally go to Junior for all my problems and he's so sick of it sometimes. He's my older brother so I feel like he gets me."

Junior and Princess joked about being the only I'm A Celebrity babies, after their parents met on the ITV show in 2004. With Katie and Peter launching their own TV series after the show ended, Junior and Princess, born in 2005 and 2007, have grown up in front of the cameras. From various magazine shoots to television appearances, the Andre kids are confident in front of the cameras.

Filming with Parents

With both Katie and ex-husband Peter, who split in 2009, now featuring in Princess' own series, Junior admits filming with their parents is all they know. He shared: "We don't know any different. It's just nice that you can have them both on the show. Seeing our parents live it and go through it, it's taught us how to handle certain things."

Junior isn't the only one who has helped Princess with being in the spotlight; Katie and Peter have offered advice to their children. Princess shared: "[They told me to] have manners, always be humble, and just be strong-headed, and don't let people's negative comments bring you down, because they've always taught us that you can achieve everything you want to achieve." Junior added: "Be nice, kind, respectful, treat people how you want to be treated."

Carving Their Own Careers

Taking on this advice, both Princess and Junior are carving out their own careers. Princess, aside from becoming a reality TV star in her own right, has been a hit on social media, made her solo presenting debut on This Morning recently, and is launching a makeup brand very soon. Junior is ready to focus on his music, teasing that viewers will get a glimpse of his next track in an upcoming episode of his sister's TV series.

But Princess said making a name for themselves away from their parents' fame can be tricky. She told The Mirror: "The thing is, you're always going to get compared to your parents. As we've got older, we've just kind of done our thing anyway." Junior agreed: "It's hard. It's always going to be hard, but we're staying true to ourselves and we're doing what we're doing. And at the end of the day, we're our own people, trying to make a living for ourselves. So we're just following our dreams and ambitions and going through it."

Hitting Back at Critics

Hitting back at nepo baby critics, Junior recently revealed he took on a full-time job on the London Underground to support his music career. Now he's hoping it will pay off, while his sister Princess believes his new tracks will be a huge hit. Princess told Junior: "I actually think it's really good and you could be so successful."

She's also hoping series three of The Princess Diaries will be a hit with viewers, after admitting her surprise over the reaction to the first two series. She said: "I don't really think my life is that interesting, but people seem to be interested!" Teasing what fans can expect from the latest series, Princess spilled: "There's a lot that's happened. You're going to see my makeup products. That's really exciting, and our family's going to be in it. I feel like this series has gone so quick, and so much has happened. So there's actually so many exciting things that I think I'll even be like, 'Oh my God, yeah, we did that,' when I watch it back. This one's going to be the best one so far."

The Princess Diaries returns to ITVBe and ITVX on July 28.
