The Ceremony

Prince William, Colonel of the Welsh Guards, rode alongside the Princess Royal and the Duke of Edinburgh. He wore the full ceremonial guard order of the Welsh Guards, the Most Noble Order of the Garter Sash with the Lesser George, and a Welsh Guards Sword, along with his medals and orders.

His horse, Darby, was presented in 2019 to mark the 80th anniversary of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police's breeding programme and the 50th anniversary of the presentation of Burmese, the horse Queen Elizabeth II rode in Trooping the Colour for 18 years.

After the ceremony, William and Catherine joined their children—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis—on the Buckingham Palace balcony for the flypast. The children appeared excited, chatting with their parents throughout the display.
