A man has been taken to hospital after an alleged attempted murder in Glasgow's east end. Emergency services responded to reports of a serious assault on Tollcross Road, near Crail Street, at around 10.40pm on Thursday, August 6.
Victim in serious but stable condition
The man was transported by ambulance to Glasgow Royal Infirmary, where he is being treated for stab injuries. His condition is described as serious but stable.
Footage from the scene shows at least three police vans and an ambulance parked on the busy road.
Police appeal for witnesses
An attempted murder investigation has been launched. Police Scotland are urging anyone with information, including potential witnesses or those with dash-cam footage, to come forward.
Detective Inspector Graham Clarke said: "Enquiries are ongoing into this attempted murder and we are appealing to the public for any information. This is a busy area and we are urging anyone who witnessed this attack, or anyone with information which could assist our enquiries to contact us. We would also appeal to anyone with dash-cam or personal footage to get in touch in case it holds anything relevant."
