Prince Harry's 10 Words to William Before Being 'Thrown in Dog Bowl'
Prince Harry's 10 Words to William Before Dog Bowl Incident

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are said to be moving back to the UK in weeks with their children, Archie and Lilibet, starting school next month, according to reports.

Six years ago, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced they were quitting the royal family and the UK. Since then, they have made their home in California, with Harry returning occasionally for charity work in Britain.

Since stepping down from their senior royal roles, Harry has claimed he feared bringing his family back to the UK due to concerns about being a target of a terror plot.

Return to Britain

Now, it has been said the Duke and Duchess will be returning to Britain by the end of the month. The couple are understood to have found a private, non-royal home in Britain, although details about where they will live or which school their children will attend have not been released for security and privacy reasons.

King Charles is believed to have been made aware of the couple's plans following an emotional reunion with his youngest son last month. This will also allow the King to spend more time with his grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet, whom he has met only a handful of times since Harry and Meghan quit the UK.

However, Harry and Meghan are keeping their home in Montecito, California, as well as a holiday home in Portugal, so it is not yet known if the move to the UK will be permanent.

Details of the Feud

Since Harry stepped down from his role as a senior working royal, he has made a number of claims about his relationship with his family, both in television interviews and in his autobiography, Spare, released in 2023.

In his memoir, he details an especially heated argument with his older brother, Prince William, over his relationship with Meghan Markle. The Duke of Sussex claims the next in line to the throne arrived at his home "piping hot" and said he wanted to discuss "the whole rolling catastrophe" of their relationship and media issues.

When his older brother arrived at Nottingham Cottage, within Kensington Palace grounds, he was already "piping hot." The two royals are then reported to have started shouting over each other, with insults being thrown.

Alleged Altercation

Harry then alleges he retorted: "Are you serious? Help me? Sorry – is that what you call this? Helping me?" He says he remembers William swearing as he approached him while entering the kitchen. Harry describes offering his brother some water and telling him: "Willy, I can't speak to you when you're like this."

The now-Prince of Wales is said to have put down the water and moved closer to his brother. Harry said: "He grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and he knocked me to the floor. I landed on the dog's bowl, which cracked under my back, the pieces cutting into me. I lay there for a moment, dazed, then got to my feet and told him to get out."

William then allegedly attempted to provoke his brother into a fight as they had done in their youth, but Harry declined before William expressed regret. However, as he departed, Harry claimed William instructed him not to tell Meghan. He admitted that he initially kept his promise, but later Meghan noticed "scrapes and bruises" and became "sad" yet unsurprised when he disclosed what had transpired.
