Pitbull, whose real name is Armando Christian Perez, declared 'No Scotland No Party' his next record during a rain-soaked performance at Bellahouston Park in Glasgow on Wednesday night, July 1. The global superstar asked the crowd to chant the iconic phrase so his band could create a backing track, then launched into the song himself with thousands of fans joining in.
Fans Embrace the Rain and Dress as Pitbull
Thousands of fans descended on Bellahouston Park for the Glasgow Summer Sessions stop of his I'm Back World Tour, despite torrential rain. Many arrived dressed as the Miami superstar's trademark alter ego, sporting sunglasses, suits, bald caps, and drawn-on goatees. The miserable weather did little to dampen spirits, with fans from across Scotland and beyond turning the Southside park into a giant outdoor party.
Pitbull Creates a Record with the Crowd
Speaking between songs, Pitbull revealed he had heard about Scotland's famous 'No Scotland, No Party' chant and wanted to experience it for himself. Within seconds, thousands of fans roared the chant back at him. Clearly taken aback, he said: 'So what we can do is, I think we have some for that. Hold on let me get the band going and we will bring the hook.' He encouraged the crowd to sing the melody so his band could pick up the backing track.
Delighted by the response, Pitbull declared: 'So it looks like we're going to make a record together tonight,' prompting huge cheers. He then told fans to 'just follow my lead' as he directed the crowd through backing vocals. Moments later, he launched into the 'No Scotland, No Party' chant himself, with thousands of voices joining in to create one of the loudest moments of the night.
Electric Atmosphere Continues with Hits
Looking out at the sea of fans, Pitbull declared: 'Glasgow and all of Scotland, it looks like we just made a new record together, baby.' The electric atmosphere continued as he performed hits including Fireball, International Love, and Hotel Room Service. Fans sang every word and danced through the rain, transforming Bellahouston Park into one giant dance floor long after the iconic moment ended.
