Pink Cancels Mexico Concerts Amid Marriage Split Denials and Logistical Issues
Pink Cancels Mexico Concerts After Denying Marriage Split Rumours

Singer Pink has announced the abrupt cancellation of two highly anticipated concerts in Mexico City, citing unforeseen logistical complications that were beyond her control. This development comes shortly after the artist forcefully denied widespread rumours suggesting her marriage to Carey Hart had ended after two decades together.

Concert Cancellations and Official Statement

The 46-year-old performer was scheduled to headline at the GNP Seguros Stadium on April 26 and 27. However, promoter Ocesa confirmed both shows have been scrapped. In an official statement posted on social media platform X, Ocesa expressed regret, explaining the cancellations were due to "complications arising from an unforeseen event affecting the event's logistics and beyond the control of the artist, promoter, and venue."

Full refunds, including all associated Ticketmaster service fees, are being processed automatically for online purchases. Fans who bought tickets at physical box offices are instructed to return to the point of purchase to request their refunds in the coming days. The promoter emphasised its appreciation for fan understanding regarding the disappointing news.

Unrelated Cancellations and Past Tour Issues

Interestingly, performances by other artists, including Carolina Ross and rapper Lucho SSJ, scheduled for the same venue were also cancelled. Ocesa clarified to Billboard Español that these cancellations are not connected to Pink's situation, suggesting separate logistical challenges at the stadium.

This is not the first time Pink has had to cancel tour dates. In 2024, she apologised sincerely to fans after ending four final shows of a tour early due to significant injuries. She revealed she had been performing with a torn bicep and two torn meniscus injuries before medical advice forced her to stop.

Denial of Marriage Split Rumours

The concert news follows a very public rebuttal from Pink regarding gossip about her personal life. After rumours circulated online that her marriage to motocross racer Carey Hart was over, the singer posted a pointed video on Instagram to set the record straight.

In the clip, she sarcastically addressed the speculation: "On my way to a beer, I was just alerted to the fact I have split from my husband. Thank you for letting me know. Would you also like to tell my children? My 14-year-old and nine-year-old are also unaware."

She challenged the media and public to focus on more substantive issues, asking, "Or do you want to talk about some real news? Do you want to talk about the Epstein files, do you want to talk about systemic racism, or misogyny in sports? Do you want to talk about my accomplishments or only my supposed demise?"

She concluded her message by firmly stating, "So fake news, not true. I love you all. Go with God." The video was captioned with her typical defiance: "Like I always say. If you don’t hear it from me, don’t believe the hype. Stay tuned though! Who knows what could happen next!?!"

Fan Reactions and Industry Impact

The dual announcements have sparked significant discussion among fans and industry observers. While disappointed about the cancelled concerts, many supporters have expressed understanding given the cited logistical hurdles, which are separate from the artist's personal life denials.

Pink's candid approach to addressing both the tour cancellations and personal rumours highlights her direct communication style with her audience. Her reference to past injuries and the current logistical issues underscores the complex, often unpredictable nature of large-scale international touring.

The situation also raises questions about venue management and promoter responsibilities when unforeseen events disrupt carefully planned schedules, affecting multiple artists and thousands of ticket-holders.
