Piers Morgan intervened as a heated argument broke out on his Uncensored show after the latest development concerning Meghan Markle. The presenter stepped in between guests Tom Sykes and Jason Lee as they clashed live on the YouTube programme.
Call for Letters to Be Published
Morgan had suggested that documents relating to the Duchess of Sussex should be made public. He said: “What would be really helpful, for everybody, is that everything is now made public. I see no reason why that 2019 letter and the 2025 letter can’t now be published. They’ve been widely reported, and one of the issues here – and Jason’s touched on this – is a lot of stuff gets lost in the wash, and it’s hard to know what to believe and what not to believe.”
He added: “The best way is just to put it out there! I see no reason, legally, why these things can’t be published. There’s no ongoing active charging or arresting or any of that happening at the moment. So you could put those letters out there.”
Guests Clash Over Sussex Narrative
Sykes responded by noting that the Sussexes’ spokesperson had said details about the letter could not be given to protect the privacy of the sender, who requested anonymity. He added that the sender had been dead for a couple of years.
Sykes said: “I do understand, Piers. They couldn’t go charging out in public with this unproven information about Thomas.” He added: “But let’s be honest, it is incredibly convenient for them that they couldn’t breathe a word about [the] horrific alleged behaviour of her father.”
He claimed any such disclosure would have destroyed the narrative that the couple’s mental anguish in 2019 was exclusively a result of the British tabloid media and the royal family. Sykes said: “They made $100million from that narrative.”
Lee Rejects Claims and Morgan Interjects
Lee objected, saying: “This is nonsense. So it’s all about money? You weren’t living that life! We saw the press over there kill Princess Diana, what are you talking about? They just got into a room and said we’re going to plan this out?”
Morgan interrupted as the argument escalated, saying: “Hang on, woah woah woah. Hang on! Don’t all talk at once!” Lee continued, accusing the other guest of framing Meghan as a “nasty, conniving, manipulative, maniacal Black woman that came in to take down the royals” and adding: “when y’all killed your own princess!”
