Piers Morgan has lashed out at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle once again, claiming they are taking part in "fake royal work" which "needs to be stopped".
Last week, the Sussexes stepped out in Nottingham for their first joint appearance together since returning to the UK at the end of August. The couple, who are non-working royals, were greeted by crowds of fans as they stepped out in the city before visiting Community Recording Studio (CRS), food poverty community action group Himmah Hub, and Epic Partners, which supports young people through sports programmes and mentoring.
While many have welcomed their visit to the city, others have slammed the couple for acting like they are still working royals.
Sussexes 'hate' working royals phrase
Harry, 42, and Meghan, 45, stepped down as working royals in 2020 and relocated to Montecito in California.
Now, a source has told The Times that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex "hate" the phrase "working members of the royal family", as they believe it is a "lazy" definition of royal duty.
"They are members of the royal family and they work," a friend of the couple added to the publication.
Morgan's criticism
One person who certainly didn't agree with their visit to Nottingham was Piers, 61, who is a known critic of the pair.
Commenting on The Times' recent story, Piers described Harry and Meghan as "grifters" and claimed their actions have been "shameful".
"Let me help them: Working Royals do endless duties for the good of their country. These two grifters are doing fake 'royal work' to line their own pockets. It's shameless, shameful and should be stopped," he wrote.

Another agreed: "These two failed in the US and thought they were going to go back to the UK and line their pockets. Being called former Royals and private citizens really did put a stop sign in their attempts. Maybe they should be like any other person that leaves a job and should get a new job. They truly are the two laziest people."
However, others criticised Piers for the way he talks about Harry and Meghan, with one writing: "Piers, the irony of calling Harry and Meghan grifters while making a career out of attacking them is staggering. Charity is not a royal monopoly, and being a Prince is not an employment contract. Your obsession is becoming embarrassing."
Narinder Kaur said: "Piers has blocked me so I can't reply to him directly but the SHEER nastiness this "man" talks about the son and DIL of the Monarch is not only disgusting but deeply worrying. You call them grifters for earning a living independently while ..err - making a living yourself from talking about other people!! Harry - Invictus Games alone should make you stfu and sit down. They turned up in Nottingham for a charity and didn't take a penny from the taxpayer. Cry more Piers."
A third commented: "Piers, let's be honest & objective, none of the Windsors do anything that the vast majority of people would regard as work. Hand waving & ribbon cutting is of no benefit to the nation & they cost us £1/2 billion a year. Harry & Meghan cost us nothing."
