Penny Lancaster, wife of rock legend Rod Stewart, has shared a poignant tribute to her beloved Cavapoo Bubbles, who passed away in March after a battle with cancer. The 54-year-old Loose Women panellist posted a photo on her Instagram Story on Sunday showing her Labradoodle, Lily, resting beside a memorial cross with a brass plaque in their garden, where Bubbles was laid to rest. She placed a small bunch of flowers at the spot and wrote: 'Remembering our beloved Bubbles on our walk today.'
Lily and Bubbles shared a deep bond, with Lily providing comfort during Bubbles' illness and staying by his side in his final moments. The tribute comes just days after Lancaster introduced her 230,000 Instagram followers to three new family members—Pygmy goats named Hazel, Robert, and Biscuit, who have been living with them for years.
In a video posted on Friday, Lancaster gathered branches from her garden to feed the goats, who waited on a tree stump. She gave a tour of their plush accommodations, complete with fairy lights and climbing structures. She wrote: 'Making the most of the sunshine today, I reached out to nature to feed my soul as well as our Pygmy goats... They joined us during the second phase of lockdown when I was able to spend a lot more time with them.'
Penny and Rod, who married in 2007, now share three dogs, three goats, and two children, along with Rod's six children from previous relationships.
