Penny Lancaster was moved to tears as she recounted a poignant moment with her husband, rock star Rod Stewart, during an appearance on Davina McCall's Begin Again podcast. The 55-year-old Loose Women panellist opened up about disagreements with her 81-year-old husband, sharing a specific incident in the car that left her emotional.
A Lesson in Apologizing
Penny described how, during a morning rush to take their sons to school, a disagreement escalated. Rod then instructed her to stop the car, turned to the boys in the back, and apologized directly to their mother.
“He said, ‘I shouldn’t have spoken to your mother like that. We can have disagreements and we can say things that we don’t really mean, but we never want to hurt that person really’,” Penny recalled. “So you always say sorry. And that makes you the best man you can be.”
