Paul Young, now 70 years old, is known worldwide for hits like Everytime You Go Away, Love of the Common People, and Wherever I Lay My Hat (That's My Home). He performed two gigs in the North East: one at the Whitley Bay Playhouse on Thursday and another at the Empire in Consett on Friday. Before the latter, he chose to dine at Sambuca, a popular restaurant in the area.
Staff shared their excitement on Facebook, posting a photo with the singer and writing: "We had the pleasure of hosting Paul Young today. Thank you so much for choosing us! And of course, our Pete had to make it into the picture too."
