Paloma Faith showcased the realities of parenting as she shared her breastfeeding dilemma in the toilets at the BAFTA Awards, balancing motherhood with her professional life. Nine weeks after welcoming her son with boyfriend Stevie Thomas, the singer demonstrated that not everything is glamorous as she used wearable pumps with a little assistance from Amanda Holden.
Behind-the-Scenes at the BAFTAs
Filming herself in the restroom, Paloma removed her in-bra pumps as her friend helped adjust them. Stating that the footage was too explicit to share with fans, she posted an update: "I'm in the toilets at the BAFTAs and I've just taken my magic In-bra pumps out. Breast pumping at the BAFTAs... in the toilets. I should've filmed it because Amanda Holden was the one who helped me get them in, but it was too graphic."
Paloma then surprised everyone by sharing a proud photo with 55-year-old Amanda, triumphantly holding up full bags of breastmilk with the caption: "The end result, thanks @noholdenback." She recently discussed her breastfeeding journey, admitting it "hurt like mad" with her first two children but expressing her determination to do it for her new arrival.
Red Carpet and Viewer Reactions
Paloma and her Celebrity Traitors co-star Alan Carr walked the red carpet before the ceremony. Upon taking her seat next to Alan, she chose not to remove her large headpiece, drawing criticism from viewers who complained that anyone seated behind her would struggle to see the stage. One frustrated person wrote on X: "How f*****g inconsiderate and entitled do you have to be to wear that massive hat? I'd be p****d sitting behind her." Another added: "Thoughts and prayers for whomever is sat behind Paloma Faith tonight at the BAFTAs. They're not going to see anything on stage as she's wearing Admiral Nelson hat on her head." A third grumbled: "What the f**k is Paloma Faith wearing on her head? Pity the poor beggar sat behind her."
