Paddy McGuinness, the 52-year-old television presenter, has revealed a dramatic physical transformation after completing the Hard 75 challenge. The comedian shared before and after images on Instagram, showing a significant change from a less toned appearance to a noticeably muscular physique. He joked that his tan helped highlight the results, and some followers commented that the images looked like they were generated by artificial intelligence.
In his post, McGuinness admitted he was shocked by how much he had let himself go, attributing the before picture to nearly two months of binge eating, including beer, cakes, and biscuits. He described the effect on his body and mind as staggering. The star said he thoroughly enjoyed the challenge and is now looking for the next one, encouraging others to give it a try if they have willpower.
The Hard 75 plan, created in 2019 by US author and podcaster Andy Frisella, involves two 45-minute workouts each day, drinking eight pints of water, abstaining from alcohol, eating a healthy diet, and reading at least 10 minutes of non-fiction daily. A strict rule requires participants to restart from day one if they miss any of the six goals. McGuinness did not reveal whether he had to restart during his attempt.
Fellow celebrities praised his transformation, including Matt Baker, who called it brilliant, and Scarlette Douglas, who said he looked bloody brilliant. Former Love Island star Chris Hughes also complimented his efforts. However, radio host Andy Goldstein jokingly claimed the images were fake, saying AI is getting out of hand. Other notable figures who have taken on the Hard 75 challenge include singer JoJo and actress Madison LeCroy.
