Sharon Osbourne Breaks Down at Rolling Stone UK Awards as She Accepts Icon Award for Ozzy

Sharon Osbourne fought back tears as she accepted the Rolling Stone UK Icon Award on behalf of her husband Ozzy at a ceremony in London. The Black Sabbath legend, 74, was unable to attend the event at The Roundhouse due to a last-minute issue, leaving his wife of 40 years to collect the honour alone.

Taking the stage, Sharon, 71, admitted she was 'f**ked up' that Ozzy could not be there, describing him as 'what rock n' roll is all about'. She praised his 55-year career, noting he has 'never had a dud album' and sold over 100 million records, before breaking down in tears while speaking of her pride in him.

Ozzy has faced significant health challenges since a fall in 2019, undergoing four back operations and using a wheelchair or walker. In a recent interview, he revealed a tumour was found in his spine and said he believes he has 'ten years left' to live. Despite this, Sharon declared it has been 'an honour to be on his coattails' and that she adores him.

In a video message played at the awards, Ozzy apologised for his absence, joking that Sharon should be kept away from the bar. He thanked Rolling Stone UK and readers, saying the award 'means everything' to him. The ceremony also honoured The Chemical Brothers, Daniel Kaluuya, and Jessie Ware among others.
