Nicola Roberts has been seen alongside her sweet baby girl as she gave a glimpse at her return to work, months after giving birth to her first child.
From pregnancy announcement to arrival
The Girls Aloud star, who shot to fame in the girl group alongside Cheryl, Kimberley Walsh, Nadine Coyle and Sarah Harding, revealed on Christmas Day last year that she was five months pregnant.
It was then, towards the end of May this year, that she announced the arrival of her first child with footballer Mitch Hahn, saying it is "heaven on earth" with her baby girl.
Sharing the joy on Instagram
The 40-year-old singer shared a series of photos with the newborn in a celebratory post on Instagram, including one comparing the sizes of their hands. "Beautiful baby girl is here," she said. "We haven’t stopped staring at her perfect little face or kissing her softest little head."
She added: "She arrived healthy and content a couple of weeks ago at 38 weeks weighing 6.5lbs and is thriving. It’s heaven on earth with her and we can hardly believe she’s ours."
Back to work with baby in tow
A couple of months on and Nicola has taken to social media with a new photo alongside her daughter, whose name hasn't been publicly shared, as she headed into hair and makeup as she got to work on her next gig.
"First postpartum work day yesterday for a sweet something coming next month [video camera emoji]," Nicola captioned the post, in which she could be seen getting glam with her daughter by her side before stepping in front of the camera.
She added: "Thankyou to my ladies on hair @lisalaudat1 make up @gabriellafloydmakeup and skin @dr_marwaali for helping me feel put together for it. Definitely don’t feel this shiny on any other day. It’s hair in a bun, SPF and off we go! P.s wouldn’t have it any other way."
