Naked News presenter skydives nude, admits it's freezing

Eila Adams, a presenter on Naked News since 2009, has revealed her passion for extreme sports is only matched by her insistence on doing them without clothes, even when it means braving the cold at high altitude.

The 38-year-old from Toronto, Canada, who has over 60,000 followers on social media as @flexapeeler2, recounted her naked skydiving experience in 2016. "I went skydiving naked in 2016 and I was freezing," she said. "I did it in the summer but when you're so high in the air it's still really cold, especially with no clothes on."

A Once-in-a-Lifetime Jump

Adams described the circumstances around the jump, which followed a milestone celebration. "We had just celebrated a milestone – it was the 15th anniversary of Naked News and there was a major party that weekend in Chicago, then I had to skydive on the Monday," she explained.

"I was cold, violently hungover and about to jump out of a plane naked – but there was no way I was cancelling a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Luckily I had a lot of adrenaline rushing through me, so I don't think I was really paying attention to much going on. I was definitely feeling the effects of the weekend, but once I was there, I knew I had to go through with it."

Naked Sports and Comedy

Beyond skydiving, Adams has presented a Naked News segment called Flex Appeal for 16 years, where she performs workout sessions nude. Her repertoire of naked activities is extensive.

"I've also done naked stand-up comedy in front of a huge crowd, naked football, naked mechanical bull riding, naked camel riding," she said. "I've played football naked on a nude beach in Toronto. There were teams of four against four and it was a group of naked women playing. I've also done topless stand-up twice, once at Yuk Yuk's and once at Comedy Bar in Toronto. Both were for Naked News and they were totally nerve-wracking."

Adams found stand-up more daunting than skydiving. "I genuinely think getting on stage and doing stand-up was even scarier than skydiving," she admitted. "At least when you jump out of a plane, you don't have an audience waiting to see if you're funny."

Memorable Experiences and Future Plans

Her stand-up ventures extended to a nudist resort in Palm Springs. "I've even done stand-up completely naked at a nudist resort in Palm Springs. There were two other naked male comedians performing as well and we had a great time," she said.

Adams also recalled a camel ride during a travel segment at a swingers' club in Lanzarote. "The camel ride was weird; I didn't realise how much they stink. There was a seat, so I wasn't barebacking it, but I didn't have any clothes on," she explained. "They walk with a kind of waddle, so you're moving from side to side. They were cute – but they stink."

Looking ahead, Adams has a clear ambition. "The thing that's on the top of my bucket list, naked or clothed, is to do a hot air balloon ride. I've been dying to go to the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta in New Mexico," she said.

Reflecting on her career, Adams noted the rarity of interviewees joining her in shedding clothes. "It has happened in my career five times, so it's like a true unicorn moment," she said. "Unless, of course, I'm covering a swingers' event or a nudist retreat, then people are definitely more willing to be on camera."

Adams, who once presented alongside her mother Robin in 2011, remains unfazed by being the only one undressed. "For me it's always just been so natural and normal. People definitely have questions – lots of staring, photos, the usual. No matter your age or body, I think we all look better naked anyway," she concluded.
