Loose Women star Nadia Sawalha has joked that aliens could already be walking among us, suggesting the proof might be found inside the White House. Speaking to the Daily Star at the Ethnicity Awards 2026 in London on Thursday, October 23, Nadia said she likes to keep an open mind about extraterrestrial life.
Viral clip leaves family spooked
She admitted a recent clip of mysterious "long necked" women at Donald Trump's base in Washington D.C. has left her family unsettled. "Since the latest aliens that have been put into the White House, have you seen the woman?" she asked, pointing to what she described as a mysterious figure with "a long neck."
Nadia revealed she argued with her husband for "two days" because she thought it was artificial intelligence, before deciding: "She's real and she has no history. She's not on Wikipedia." The star added there were "two like that" who seemed to appear out of nowhere in the White House, and said videos of these women had terrified her teenage daughter.
"My 19-year-old daughter is having trouble sleeping... because she's convinced it's aliens," Nadia said, before joking: "There probably is... other life, but I think they might have landed in the White House."
Online speculation targets
It is understood the women she was likely talking about were former senator Kelly Loeffler and billionaire philanthropist Susan Dell, whose strange appearances have sparked frenzied speculation online that they are aliens. Dell appeared at the White House on October 7 and became a major target of the same wave of "alien" and "reptilian" speculation. Social media latched onto visuals from her televised appearance, especially her facial expressions, her posture, and a repeated "steeple" hand gesture while standing near US President Donald Trump.
This comes after a viral internet theory that kicked off after the five-day stint of former White House Press Secretary Katie Zacharia. In the wake of her sudden appointment, social media filled the gaps with jokes and conspiracy-style chatter. Zacharia's appearance during her only press briefing - a 14-minute slot on October 13 - sparked "uncanny" look criticism, with exaggerated claims about her neck, eyes and posture.
Nadia's stance on conspiracy theories
Nadia insisted she is not a conspiracy theorist, but said she does like to challenge what she is hearing. "I'm not a conspiracy theorist," she said. "I like to question things. I don't like just to be told things... so I like to dig deeper." She further quipped: "My husband's fascinated by aliens and other planets."
But Nadia confessed she is usually too busy dealing with life on Earth, adding: "I was like, I can't deal with what I've got here." Nadia was speaking to the Daily Star on the red carpet at the Ethnicity Awards, where she turned heads in a striking traditional outfit with a serious message behind it.
"This is... the traditional Palestinian embroidery," she explained, pointing out the detailed stitching, before adding: "I love this because I'm an ambassador of Children Not Numbers, which is a charity helping children in Gaza." Clearly proud of the night's celebration, she also praised the event's message: "Everybody is proudly being who they are, right? Without whispering."
And when the chat moved on from outer space to reality TV - Celebrity Traitors - Nadia made it clear she is not cut out for betrayal. "No, I won't want to be a traitor," she said bluntly, admitting: "I'll be so stressed... I'm too soft."
