Miss J suffered a stroke on December 27, 2022, an event that plunged her into a coma for five weeks. Upon awakening, she found herself disoriented and incapacitated. "I woke up, I didn't know where I was other than in the hospital. I spent five weeks in a coma. I couldn't walk and I couldn't talk," she recounted in the film, her voice filled with emotion. The initial moments after regaining consciousness were particularly distressing, as she broke down in tears, admitting, "It was emotional, I cried. I'm not ashamed to say that I cried."
Support from Former Co-Stars and Ongoing Challenges
During her recovery, Miss J received visits from former America's Next Top Model colleagues Nigel Barker and Jay Manuel, who offered their support. Nigel Barker described the experience as "really upsetting and horrifying and scary," highlighting the gravity of her condition.
