An urgent manhunt is underway in Sydney's east after a man allegedly broke into a home and later crashed into several cars.

Incident Details

Officers were called to Davies Avenue in Vaucluse on Friday shortly after 1:30 pm following reports of a break-and-enter. Police were told a man had allegedly broken into a house but left before they arrived.

About 15 minutes later, officers were called to Serpentine Avenue in relation to reports of a crash. Upon arrival, they were told a car had collided with several vehicles before the driver fled the scene.

Search Underway

No injuries have been reported. Officers, aided by PolAir and the dog unit, are currently searching the area. Police are hunting through eastern Sydney for the alleged offender.
