Martha Stewart has publicly criticized Meghan Markle's career trajectory, questioning the Duchess of Sussex's transition from actress to royal to lifestyle expert.
In an interview with People, Stewart revealed that she recently attended a dinner party in California where Meghan was also a guest. The 85-year-old cooking legend shared her thoughts on Meghan's new cooking show, "With Love, Meghan," saying, "If you're an actress, it's hard to then transition to a princess and then from a princess into a homemaking guru on a television show."
Stewart's Comments on Career Path
Stewart elaborated, "It doesn't sort of follow. So go from there." The remarks come amid accusations that Meghan has copied Stewart's style in her homemaking ventures.
Meghan launched her homestyle brand last year, and her Netflix cooking series has drawn comparisons to Stewart's own empire. Stewart noted that she didn't speak much to Meghan at the dinner, saying, "I didn't talk to her really more than to say a couple words, but I know she was talking about it."
