Meghan Markle Urged to 'Start Doing Good When No One's Watching'

Meghan Markle has faced criticism from PR experts following the announcement that she will co-host Junior MasterChef Australia next year. The Duchess of Sussex, who appeared as a guest judge on MasterChef Australia earlier this year, has been met with backlash from those who believe she should not be part of the show.

PR Expert Criticism

Speaking to The Daily Express US, one PR expert said Meghan poorly executes her ideas, and her appearances often seem to have an "alternative agenda", which can be why people are so critical of her new role. Brian Glicklich, CEO at Digital Strategy Ltd, told The Express US: "Megan Markle has not suffered from a lack of ideas to improve her reputation and popularity... she suffers in poor execution. Her appearances are inauthentic, promotional, and too often appear to have an alternative agenda."

Glicklich added: "It is possible for celebrities who have developed reputational issues to repair them, but it always starts with a clear understanding of what went wrong, an acceptance of responsibility for that, and a willingness to work towards authenticity, not manipulation. And that means doing good work first when there are no cameras around."

Likability Problem

He continued: "Megan Markle suffers from a likability problem, but just like the rest of us, she needs to start by learning to like herself. Then she can let the world see what she is passionate about when there is nothing to be gained... except self-respect."
