Meghan Markle has been criticised by fans after sharing a birthday video of herself dancing around her kitchen while wearing a tiara.
The Duchess of Sussex celebrated her 45th birthday on Tuesday and marked the occasion by posting new photos and videos on social media.
Birthday celebrations
Earlier in the day, Meghan shared two black-and-white photos of herself jumping into a pool while holding birthday balloons, accompanied by the message: “Thank you for the birthday love!”
Later, she posted two videos on her Instagram stories, giving fans a glimpse of her special day. In the first, she was seen dancing barefoot in white pyjamas, consisting of white trousers and an oversized t-shirt reading “It’s giving Mrs.” Her hair was in a bun under a “birthday” tiara.
Prince Harry, who likely recorded the video, could be heard laughing in the background and saying: “Oh dear.”
Fans react
Some fans took to social media to criticise the duchess. One user wrote on X: “Seriously? I thought this was fake. Some things are best left in the phone and not posted for the world to see. Meghan Markle must be the most insufferable person to live with.”
Another added: “She should be embarrassed, but she's not.” A third echoed: “She is totally incapable[sic] of embarrassment.”
Others defended her, with one user writing: “So it’s okay for other people to post videos like this, yet she can’t without the hate. Only thing that’s insufferable is you s***** royalists.”
