Meghan Markle's Netflix series With Love, Meghan has been nominated for an Emmy in the outstanding lifestyle programme category, a move that a royal commentator has described as 'baffling' given the show's low viewership.
Nomination Details
The Duchess of Sussex released the first season of the show in 2025, coinciding with the launch of her lifestyle brand As Ever. The series is nominated alongside NBC's George to the Rescue, Hallmark's The Motherhood, The Wizard of Paws, and A Different Breed.
Criticism from Royal Commentator
Royal commentator Hilary Fordwich told Fox News: 'Well, not so surprising when one considers these award bodies reward high-profile players who might garner the award's attention. Nevertheless, given how polarising MM is & that the show had completely lacklustre ongoing watching views, it is somewhat baffling.'
Fordwich added: 'The really weak commercial traction of her show, with dreadfully low ongoing watching demonstrated by lack of audience appeal, doesn’t warrant such an award, but no doubt it will garner the aforementioned media attention.'
Show Performance and Future
Across two seasons, the show featured guest appearances from Mindy Kaling, Tan France, and Chrissy Teigen, focusing on gardening, cooking, and other lifestyle topics. However, the show has not been renewed for a third season, and viewership has been described as 'dreadfully low.'
Other Emmy Nominations
The winners will be announced at a ceremony at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles on October 30. In other categories, The Young And The Restless led daytime drama with 18 nominations, followed by CBS's Beyond The Gates with 15 and General Hospital with 13. For Outstanding Daytime Talk Series, Drew Barrymore and Kelly Clarkson will compete alongside The View, Live With Kelly And Mark, Today with Jenna And Friends, and 3rd Hour Of Today.
