Meghan 'in bits' as she flees abroad with family amid dad probe

The Duchess of Sussex is reportedly "in bits" as she and Prince Harry take their two children on a short break overseas amid the latest family drama. The trip comes as Meghan Markle's father, Thomas Markle Snr, faces a police investigation after his son, Thomas Markle Jnr, claimed to have found a stash of child sex abuse images at his father's former home in Cebu.

Emotional Rollercoaster

Reports claim a "deeply distressed" Meghan sent a final, brutal letter to her father last year while he was recovering from a leg amputation. She allegedly wrote to tell him she knows he is an abuser and vowed he will never see his royal grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

Now, new reports suggest the couple are on a short break as they process the revelations whilst being supported by their nearest and dearest. A friend told Hello! Magazine: "She's just really, really upset. She has young children herself. It's just devastating."

They added: "It's just been an emotional rollercoaster for her. She's in bits."

Forensic Investigation Underway

Philippine Interior Minister Jonvic Remulla has now confirmed that a forensic investigation into the retired lighting director's devices is underway, promising a "definitive picture" within a week.

Speaking out on the allegations, Mr Remulla revealed: "Right now all signs point to a possible sex offender of the grossest kind. We want to be sure before we release the findings."

He confirmed that national police found a "trove of child pornography materials as well as a laptop," adding that authorities will take "appropriate legal actions" if sufficient evidence is found to charge him. Mr Markle denies any wrongdoing.
