Meghan and Harry may flee UK again after frosty reception

Meghan Markle is reportedly "deeply distressed" after her father, Thomas Markle, was arrested by the US Department of Justice (DoJ) over a federal complaint alleging he held images showing child sex abuse. Markle is now under house arrest in his assisted living facility in Florida and strongly denies any wrongdoing.

TalkTV host Samara Gill discussed Meghan's feelings about her family, saying: "Meghan Markle was very ashamed of her background and her family, regardless of the allegations. For someone who could marry into the royal family, it is incredible." Kevin O'Sullivan replied: "The story about her father was the rotten icing on the rancid cake."

Reports of a second exit

Earlier in the segment, O'Sullivan claimed that Meghan and Prince Harry could soon leave the UK for a second time after being left "shocked" by the reception from the public and his family. He said: "Mortified Meghan Markle and her spiralling spare Harry are reportedly in a state of shock over the sheer arctic-level frostiness of their reception since returning to Britain. So much so that the stunned couple could already be on the brink of Megxit Mark 2."

O'Sullivan added: "The petulant prince cannot quite believe the deep frozen cold shoulder he has been given by his regal relatives and, as a result, is apparently considering moving on."

Royal family relations

According to O'Sullivan, during the three months following their return to the UK in the summer, King Charles has been too busy to see Harry, and the rest of the royals do not want to see him. He said: "As for the despised duchess, if none of them ever saw her again, it would be way too soon. The palace drawbridge is up, and the pariah prince and his willful wife are starting to realise, to their horror, that it always will be."

The comments follow the couple's earlier departure to Canada in 2020, two years after their wedding at Windsor.
