MCR Fans Flock to Anfield for Black Parade Show

Thousands of My Chemical Romance fans descended on Liverpool's Anfield Stadium on Tuesday as the iconic band brought The Black Parade tour to the home of Liverpool FC. The American rock band, known for hits like Welcome to the Black Parade, Teenagers, Helena, and I'm Not Okay (I Promise), performed their first show at the historic venue.

Fans Share Emotional Connections

Outside the stadium, the Liverpool Echo captured the excitement as fans arrived in full force, sporting band t-shirts, Black Parade-inspired costumes, and even gas masks. Among them were Kieran Rooney, 35, and Nicole Rooney, 31, who met through their shared love of My Chemical Romance. Kieran, a lifelong Liverpool FC supporter, called the experience a "dream come true."

"They mean so much to us both, we met because of My Chemical Romance," Kieran told the Echo.

Sisters Prepare for First-Time Experience

Izzy Davis, 22, and Milly Colledge, 19, sisters from Stoke-on-Trent, were also among the crowd. Izzy, who last saw the band in 2022, admitted she was already emotional. "I'm going to cry. I last saw them in 2022, but Milly has never seen them before. So, that's going to be fun. I cried last time, I'm going to cry again," she said.
