Elliot Donald, grandson of Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney, has reportedly begun a relationship with Stella Jones, the model daughter of The Clash guitarist Mick Jones. The couple, both 23, made their relationship Instagram official on Valentine's Day, with Stella sharing a mirror selfie captioned with a love heart emoji.
According to a source cited by the Daily Mail, the pair met through mutual friends and have been dating privately for some time. “They're both so happy together and they make the perfect couple,” the source said. Elliot, who works as a music scout, is known to be very private, which led the couple to keep their romance low-key initially.
Elliot is the son of photographer Mary McCartney, 56, and her ex-husband Alistair Donald. He is one of Sir Paul's eight grandchildren. Stella, meanwhile, is the daughter of Mick Jones, 70, the co-founder and lead guitarist of The Clash, known for hits such as 'London Calling' and 'Should I Stay or Should I Go'. She is signed to the Kate Moss Agency and has modelled for brands including H&M, Tommy Hilfiger, and Prada.
The couple, who both live in New York, were recently seen on a sunny holiday together with friends. Stella posted a montage of snaps from the trip on Instagram with the caption: “A reminder of life above 0 degrees.” The post drew a comment from model Lila Moss, who wrote “cheeeky”.
Last year, Sir Paul attended Elliot's graduation from New York University's Gallatin School of Individualized Study, accompanied by his wife Nancy Shevell and Elliot's mother Mary. Mary shared celebratory photos on Instagram, captioning them: “Couldn't be prouder.”
