Maura Higgins has travelled in style to Cannes, showcasing her designer luggage on Wednesday. The Love Island star, 35, was seen leaving the Hôtel Martinez the morning after attending the opening ceremony of the 79th Cannes Film Festival on Tuesday night.
Departure from Cannes
Maura, representing L'Oreal Paris at the festival, dressed down for her departure, revealing her toned abs in an ALO sweatshirt. Going makeup-free, the reality star displayed her designer accessories as she waited for her car, with her Hermès Birkin bag perched on top of her Louis Vuitton suitcase. Maura's black Birkin retails for around £20,000, while her luggage is priced at approximately £3,000. The star appeared to be leaving Cannes just 24 hours after arriving by private jet.
Red Carpet Appearance
Before mingling with Hollywood A-listers Demi Moore and Heidi Klum on the red carpet at Palais des Festivals on Tuesday night, Maura documented her private jet flight to the South of France. Quipping that she was 'currently surviving on coffee, croissants & @lorealparis', she shared snaps of her luxury journey and showed off her £1,560 Chanel makeup bag.
Career Highlights
It has been an incredible first half of the year for Maura, whose US takeover has soared to greater heights with the announcement that she has joined the lineup for Dancing With The Stars. Sources claim the Love Island star could be in line for a £5 million payday thanks to new deals. Last month, it was confirmed that Maura will appear on the 35th season of the hit show, the US version of Strictly Come Dancing, making her the first star unveiled for this autumn's lineup.
Maura had previously expressed interest in appearing on Dancing With The Stars during her well-publicised stint on the US version of The Traitors. Meanwhile, beauty brands are also reportedly keen to snap her up, while insiders claim a fly-on-the-wall series documenting her rise in America could be the next step, with the star reportedly in talks with TV bosses.
Acting and Future Plans
However, it is not just reality TV and beauty brands on her radar. The star is also said to be in talks with Disney after making her acting debut in the film The Spin. After focusing primarily on influencer and fashion work in the years following Love Island, Maura crossed the Atlantic in 2023, becoming a social media presenter and guest host for a challenge on Season 5 of Love Island USA. In October of the same year, she was made a social media presenter for Love Island Games, and in 2024, she became the host of Love Island: Aftersun. She also participated in Dancing On Ice in 2020.
This kickstarted her TV career after earning significant income through clothing and makeup deals after leaving the villa. The star also signed with public relations agency Align, which specialises in growing careers in the US, last year. Maura recently revealed that she has signed with major US talent agency Creative Artist Agency, whose glittering list of clients includes big names like Lady Gaga. Her work in the US culminated in an invitation to the prestigious Golden Globes in LA, where she mingled with the likes of Jennifer Lawrence, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Emma Stone.
