Mark Wright shares rare photos of daughter after injury setback

Mark Wright has shared a string of sweet photos of himself and his daughter enjoying time with his family after recently revealing how he had suffered a health setback.

The TV and radio presenter posted the photos on Instagram, having been enjoying a summer's day in the park with his little girl, Palma, whom he shares with his actress wife Michelle Keegan, as well as his parents, Carol and Mark Wright Snr, and his siblings and nephews.

Family time in the park

Among the images was one of one-year-old Palma, whose likeness has not been shared publicly, walking away from her father in a large field. She was also seen alongside her grandmother, former The Only Way is Essex (TOWIE) star Carol, and playing with a large ball with her grandfather.

Health setback revealed

Mark recently told how he has been battling ongoing back pain for the past five weeks after he initially dismissed a "pop" or "tear" as a muscular injury, before an ultrasound suggested that he may have suffered another fracture.

Last week, he posted a video on his golfing TikTok account, which he captioned: "It's been a tough few months to say the least," in which he explained that he was having a CT scan to determine the extent of the suspected fracture, noting that "it's not looking good" and he could be unable to play golf for three months.

"You've probably been thinking, 'Where's he been? Where's the golf content?' Well, remember that stress fracture I had on my rib, on the right side, a couple of months back?" he said. "About five weeks ago I felt a pop, or a tear, in my back, and I just thought it was a muscular thing."

Devastating year for golf

"But five weeks on, and it's not better, so I went for an ultrasound scan last night, and it looks like I've got another fracture. I think I did them at the same time. This has been going on since February, by the way, so I've had five weeks of golf in pain, by the way. So, I'm here about to have a CT scan to see the results; it's not looking good."

Mark, 39, continued: "It's been a devastating year, but that's what you get, I suppose, for training - doing too much, trying to get down too quick. Next time, I need to manage my body, but I don't know how long; if it's a deep fracture I could be 12 weeks. Absolutely gutted."
