Margot Robbie reveals jet ski sex was her strangest spot

Margot Robbie has revealed she once had sex on a jet ski. The 36-year-old actress said it was the strangest spot she had ever had sex.

Asked about the most unusual place she'd had sex, she told The Sun: "On a jet ski. A non-moving jet ski, but in the water."

She did not reveal whether it was with her husband, British filmmaker Tom Ackerley, whom she met in 2014 on the set of Suite Française. The pair married in December 2016 and welcomed their first child, a baby boy, in October 2024.

Wolf of Wall Street blunder

The former Neighbours star is now one of the biggest names in Hollywood and was the world's highest-paid actress in 2023. Although she tends not to discuss her personal life, she was happy to admit one hilarious blunder on the set of The Wolf of Wall Street.

She once revealed that after a sex scene with Leonardo DiCaprio, she found his electric cigarette stuck in her "butt crack". Margot filmed several sex scenes during the making of the film and said they were the "least romantic thing to shoot".

The humiliating blunder, in the five-times Oscar-nominated drama with her on-screen husband, only cemented the lack of romance during the shoot. "He probably threw it away," she said. "It was so embarrassing. So yeah, sex scenes are super sexy."

Merkins in film-making

She also lifted the lid on how some raunchy nude scenes are filmed, especially when they require a bit of hair down below. During a discussion about the raunchy opening sequence of Babylon, on the Fitzy and Wippa podcast, the Aussie's conversation quickly turned to "down under".

One of the hosts mentioned how tricky it was for period filming to get females with real breasts and pubic hair, when Margot piped up with her fun fact about how it's done.

"They have things called merkins, which is like a wig but for genitalia," she said. "I remember on Wolf Of Wall Street there was an entire merkin room, there was a whole room full of merkins. I guess people would go in and pick out, you know. I'm not going to go into detail but it was a fascinating, and little-known fact about the film-making industry."
