My Kitchen Rules' Manu Feildel Reveals Hidden Tattoos on Sydney Beach Outing
Manu Feildel Shows Off Tattoos in Sydney Beach Visit

French-Australian celebrity chef Manu Feildel, best known for his role on My Kitchen Rules, has revealed the extensive tattoo collection he typically conceals beneath his stylish on-screen attire. The 51-year-old culinary star went shirtless during a relaxed beach outing with his mother at Nielsen Park in Sydney on Thursday, showcasing his body art in the summer heat.

A Family Day by the Water

Feildel opted for a pair of printed boardshorts, accessorising with several silver rings and a large pendant necklace. The mother-son duo enjoyed a sweet family moment, chatting animatedly as they floated together in the water. This public display offered a rare glimpse into the chef's personal life, contrasting with his polished television persona.

An Expanding Canvas of Ink

The chef has been steadily adding to his colourful tattoo collection. Last year, he documented the process of getting a large octopus inked on his forearm. A video originally posted by tattoo artist Mertim Gokalp showed Feildel bravely enduring the lengthy session. "Thanks mate it's always a pleasure to see you," Gokalp captioned the post, tagging Sydney's Thirteen Feet Tattoo parlour.

This isn't the first time Feildel has publicly displayed his tattoos. In 2022, he raised temperatures at Channel Seven's annual Perth Telethon by ripping off his shirt. In a humorous twist, he had painted temporary abs on his stomach using bronzer to create the illusion of a six-pack. Home and Away star Lynne McGranger was visibly delighted, laughing and touching his stomach as Feildel playfully adopted the role of a male stripper, showing off dance moves and flexing his muscles. The event helped raise funds for 50 beneficiaries, including the Perth Children's Hospital.

Life Beyond the Kitchen

Manu Feildel has been a co-host and judge on My Kitchen Rules Australia since its 2010 inception. However, the intense pressure of television and the culinary world has taken its toll. The chef has been openly candid about his personal struggles with stress and anxiety, sharing his coping mechanisms with followers.

A Personal Prescription for Wellness

"I do not share too much of my private life on my social media in the last couple of years but today I felt like sharing my experience," Feildel explained in a recent post. "I believe that most of us suffer from some type of stress, anxiety or even some mental breakdowns at times and trust me, I am not any different. I believe I found my medicine."

His solution? An almost daily morning swim in an ocean pool at sunrise. "Since the beginning of the year I've been swimming in the ocean pool nearly every morning and it's changed my life in many ways," he revealed. "It's nothing spiritual but just simply revitalising. It clears my mind from any negativity and kick-starts my day in a great mood. It's giving me more energy and more focus."

Feildel concluded with a message of hope: "Anyway I just thought if I can help someone find a solution to their battles, try that." This blend of personal revelation and family simplicity during his Sydney beach day paints a fuller picture of the chef beyond his television fame.
