MAFS UK Star Mark Kiley Reveals Graphic Injuries Following Alleged Bouncer Attack
Married At First Sight UK contestant Mark Kiley has taken to social media to share shocking footage of injuries he sustained during what he describes as a brutal physical assault. The 38-year-old reality television personality, who gained fame during the eighth series of the E4 dating show in 2023, posted a video on Instagram showing visible wounds including a prominent black eye, a bruised lip, and blood stains on his white t-shirt.
Disturbing Social Media Revelation
In the emotional video shared with his 26,600 followers, Kiley expressed his disbelief at finding himself in such a situation. 'It’s really funny because never once did I think I’d be making a video, never once did I think it’d be me,' he stated before adding, 'And, they think it’s OK, they think it’s OK. It's alright. It's just not OK to do that at all.'
The reality star went on to make a serious allegation about the perpetrator's identity, claiming: 'And the worst thing is, it was a bouncer. It’s so funny because you think you’re safe. You think, "Oh my god, it’s fine, there’s people here, there's a community. It’s fine to do this".'

Kiley's MAFS Journey and Post-Show Struggles
Mark Kiley originally appeared on Married At First Sight UK as a latecomer alongside his husband Sean Malkin during the 2023 series. The couple participated alongside notable cast members including JJ Slater, Ella Morgan, and Brad Skelly. Despite choosing to 'stay' during two commitment ceremonies, they ultimately decided to leave the experiment just before their final decision ceremony after realising they weren't compatible.
Following his television appearance, Kiley revealed he faced significant financial difficulties, having been forced to take a £7,000 pay cut to return to his previous employment. He previously told The Sun: 'When I went on the show, I quit my job and I missed a prepaid holiday that I spent £1,700 on. I left everything to do this, only to come out with nothing.'
Kiley added: 'I know it was my choice but it felt like I was mis-sold this dream that it would work and I would say goodbye to my normal life.' When contacted about these claims at the time, a Channel 4 spokesperson stated that all contributors are thoroughly prepared for the reality television experience and warned against unrealistic expectations of fame.
Controversial Moments During MAFS
During his time on the programme, Kiley generated controversy when he admitted to lying to his husband Sean about his age, claiming to be 26 when he was actually 36. Additionally, tensions arose between the couple regarding their professional backgrounds, with Mark expressing dissatisfaction that Sean managed a New Look store while he worked in what he described as 'high fashion.'
After meeting Sean at the altar, Kiley remarked: 'I wanted that initial attraction, that spark straight away. It hasn't come. And he's wearing a black suit, black suit is not the one.' In contrast, Sean appeared immediately smitten, stating: 'I'm obviously really attracted to Mark. I'm looking forward to getting to know each other.'
The recent incident has brought renewed attention to the reality star, with his graphic video evidence of injuries sparking concern among fans and fellow television personalities alike. Kiley concluded his social media post with the caption: 'Where you think it will never for you. I have never felt billed or targeted against until tonight. It’s not okay.'
