Love Island stars Samie Elishi and Tyrique Hyde have announced they are expecting their first child together. The reality TV couple shared the happy news on Instagram on Monday morning (October 19), posting a video featuring Samie undergoing an ultrasound and the pair holding up their baby's scan picture.

Couple's Announcement and Relationship Timeline

The announcement comes just months after the pair confirmed their relationship, following Samie's split from fellow Love Island: All Stars winner Ciaran Davies. Elishi, 26, and Hyde, 27, have both appeared on the ITV2 dating show, with their paths first crossing away from the cameras several years ago.

Elishi first rose to fame on the winter series of Love Island in 2023, where she entered as a bombshell and went on to couple up with Tom Clare. The pair reached the final together, finishing in third place, but their relationship ended shortly after leaving the villa. She returned to the franchise for Love Island: All Stars in 2025 before making another comeback in 2026.

Their Individual Love Island Journeys

During her most recent appearance, Elishi coupled up with Ciaran Davies, with the pair eventually being crowned the series winners in February. However, their romance was short-lived, with the couple confirming their split just weeks after leaving the villa.

Hyde, meanwhile, appeared on the tenth series of Love Island in summer 2023, where he coupled up with Ella Thomas. The pair finished in third place and continued their relationship outside the villa before announcing their separation in 2024.

From Reality TV to Parenthood

Despite their separate journeys on the show, Hyde and Elishi had known each other for several years before their romance began. Hyde later revealed that he had tried to pursue Elishi before their respective Love Island appearances, but nothing came of it at the time.

The pair were first linked romantically in March 2026, after being spotted together at a Baller League event. Their relationship appeared to develop quickly, with the couple later sharing glimpses of their romance on social media, including a holiday to Morocco. Their baby announcement marks a new chapter for the couple, who have gone from reality TV contestants to preparing to become parents together.
