Love Actually Stars' Fates: Tragedies and Triumphs Revealed

Nearly a quarter of a century after the release of Love Actually, the cast members have experienced a range of fates, from sudden death and bankruptcy to cancer and Hollywood success. The film, which explored heartbreak, loss, infidelity and longing, featured stars such as Liam Neeson, Emma Thompson, Alan Rickman and Colin Firth.

Jill Freud, who played the Downing Street housekeeper in the film, died at the age of 98. Her daughter Emma Freud, married to writer-director Richard Curtis, paid tribute to her 'feisty, outrageous, kind, loving and mischievous' mother. Emma revealed that Jill's final words were 'I love you' before she passed away peacefully.

Alan Rickman, who played the unfaithful Harry, died in January 2016 at the age of 69 after a battle with pancreatic cancer. His wife Rima Horton later campaigned for better screening, saying the diagnosis was 'a complete shock'. She noted that Rickman had symptoms such as backache and stomach problems, but they were not associated with cancer.
