Louise Redknapp has revealed she fears her sons Charley, 22, and Beau, 17, flying the nest, but for now her family feels bigger thanks to her eldest son's girlfriend, Mia, who frequently stays over.
Louise's Empty Nest Fears
During an appearance on Sara Cox's BBC Radio 2 programme, the 51-year-old singer said: "I don't want mine to ever leave. I really don't. I don't know what I'd do. And right now, Chaz's girlfriend is there a lot, Mia, so I love it."
She added: "I feel like I've gained an extra child, I'm sorry to Mia's mum and dad but I do love her staying at mine. When they say they are staying at her house I'm a bit like, 'really? Why? Why would you do that?'"
Sara Cox Relates
Sara, with three children aged 22, 18, and 16, agreed that it becomes "a bit boring" when the youngsters are away from home.
Louise and Jamie's Marriage
Louise married Jamie Redknapp in June 1998 aboard a private yacht in Bermuda. They parted ways in 2017 after nearly 20 years of marriage, soon after her Strictly Come Dancing appearance.
She had stepped away from her career to raise their sons but credited Strictly with motivating her to relaunch her professional life. A decade has passed since she secured second place on the show with professional partner Kevin Clifton.
Jamie's New Family
Jamie recently admitted that his eldest son initially struggled with the news that he was expecting a baby with his new wife, Frida Andersson. On Romesh Ranganathan's podcast, he said: "It was actually telling the kids that they were going to have a younger brother. It didn't go down that well with Charley, I've got to be honest. I went to pick him up at school and tell him Frida was pregnant [and] it went down like a lead balloon, if I'm honest."
