Lindsey Burrow on love after Rob's selfless final wish
Lindsey Burrow: no romance plans after Rob's final wish

Lindsey Burrow has revealed she is not ready to think about a future with another partner, despite her late husband Rob's final words encouraging her to find happiness after his death.

Rob, who died aged 41 in June 2024 after a battle with motor neurone disease (MND), recorded messages for Lindsey and their three children using specialist voice equipment after losing his ability to speak.

Lindsey had initially dreaded listening to the message left for her to hear after his death, fearing it would be too emotional. But when she eventually found the strength to download it, she was met with words of love and encouragement, urging her to find happiness again.

Not on my agenda

Speaking to the Telegraph in an interview published earlier this year, Lindsey explained that moving on romantically was not something she was considering.

"I don't think about that," she said. "People do say to me, 'I hope you move on,' but it's not about that. My priority is the children, first and foremost. I don't know what the future holds but [finding love again] is not on my agenda."

So grateful to Rob

Lindsey, who shares children Macy, 14, Maya, 10, and Jackson, seven, with Rob, said her focus remained firmly on their family as they continued to navigate life without him.

"Not a day goes by when I don't think about him and talk about him," she added. "Rob was so positive in his lifetime. He wanted us to be happy. He showed us how to live life in the moment – and now I cope by not thinking about the future."

She also addressed the possibility of finding love again in an interview with the Mirror, making clear the place Rob would always hold in her life.

"As long as the children are happy, I'm happy," she said. "Rob was the love of my life. No one will ever take his place."

"It's heartbreaking that he isn't here, but I'm so grateful to have had him as a husband, and father. He taught us that in the darkest of times, there's a strength within us that we don't realise we have."
