Lewis Capaldi Visits Favourite Turkish Restaurant in Glasgow
Lewis Capaldi Spotted at Turkish Restaurant in Glasgow

Lewis Capaldi was spotted enjoying a meal at Eda Turkish Restaurant on Glasgow's High Street, and the owners have hinted that the establishment might be the singer's favourite. The 29-year-old Whitburn star visited the restaurant, which opened in 2019, and took time to pose for a photo with the owners.

Restaurant's Social Media Post

Sharing the picture on Instagram yesterday (August 3), Eda Restaurant wrote: "If we're good enough for @lewiscapaldi … surely we're good enough for you? Not saying we're his favourite… but we're definitely grateful he popped in. Now the real question is… when are you coming to see what everyone's talking about?"

The post drew an enthusiastic response from fans. One Instagram user commented "Brilliant" with clapping hands emojis, while another admitted, "I'm going to cry." A Facebook user remarked, "Mr Capaldi has excellent taste. We had a lovely meal at Eda on Saturday night." Another shared their own experience, writing, "We had a lovely meal for my brother and sister-in-law's anniversary. Cannot recommend enough and will definitely be back."

Award Nomination

Eda Turkish Restaurant had been selected as a finalist for the Best Turkish Restaurant in Scotland at the fourth Turkish Restaurant and Takeaway Awards 2026. Although the restaurant did not win the top prize, the owners thanked everyone who had been part of their journey, stating that the nomination "reflects the passion, dedication and hard work of our incredible team."

Recent Praise for Capaldi

The sighting comes after Lewis Capaldi received praise from fans for hosting a free concert for hundreds of unpaid carers on Tuesday, July 28. The gig, held at London's O2 Forum Kentish Town, was reportedly a thank you to carers across the country who dedicate their time to looking after loved ones without pay.

Organised in partnership with Carers Trust and ABLE2UK, the venue was made fully accessible so that unpaid carers and those they support could comfortably attend. After heartwarming clips from the event surfaced on social media, fans shared their admiration. One person wrote: "This is how EASY inclusion and accessibility is when you take the time to think about everyone not just sales." Another commented: "I've been a huge fan of him for six years. I first started out with loving his music, but the more I saw of him and his actions it became apparent that this man has the kindest heart and that's why I love him."
