Leigh-Anne Pinnock was secretly three months pregnant when she took part in the gruelling filming of Celebrity Traitors in Scotland. The former Little Mix star is expecting her third child with footballer husband Andre Gray, but kept her pregnancy under wraps while filming the hit BBC show.
Filming in the Scottish Highlands
The new celebrity series was filmed in the Scottish Highlands earlier this year, with the stars arriving on May 3 to take part in the game of lies, deception and betrayal. Despite being in the early stages of her pregnancy, the 34 year old took part in the show's tough challenges alongside her fellow contestants.
In one of the first tasks, the singer was seen helping to carry heavy crates through freezing water as the celebrities battled to build up money for the prize fund. The chilly Scottish conditions also meant the stars were dressed in layers, with jumpers and jackets helping to keep Leigh-Anne's growing bump hidden from her fellow co-stars and producers.
Secret kept from production
According to reports, neither the show's production team nor Leigh-Anne's fellow contestants were aware she was expecting at the time. A source told the Daily Mail: "Leigh-Anne was three months pregnant while filming Celebrity Traitors. She decided to keep it a secret." They added: "Production didn't know, and she didn't announce the news while in Scotland."
Leigh-Anne announced her pregnancy in July, sharing a sweet social media video which showed her recording music in the studio. Alongside the clip, she wrote: "As one chapter ends, another begins." The star already shares five year old twin daughters with her husband Andre, whom she tied the knot to in 2023. The pair wed in a private ceremony in Jamaica, following a three-year engagment.
Suspicion at the round table
It comes after Friday night's episode (October 2), where Leigh-Anne found herself under suspicion from her fellow contestants, despite being a Faithful. Comedian Joanne McNally and mathematician Professor Hannah Fry began questioning the singer after spotting her putting on makeup late at night. The pair suspected Leigh-Anne was getting ready to sneak up to the castle turret to meet the other Traitors.
Joanne later brought her suspicions to the round table, putting her theory about Leigh-Anne to the rest of the Faithfuls. Her suspicions appeared to gain support, with several contestants seemingly convinced that the singer could be hiding something.
However, viewers were left without an answer as the episode ended before the first banishment was revealed. Much to the disappointment of fans, the episode finished on a cliffhanger, leaving Leigh-Anne, Richard E Grant and Julie Hesmondhalgh among those at risk of being banished by their fellow contestants. Fans will have to wait until next week to discover who is sent home at the first round table, with the third episode of Celebrity Traitors set to air on BBC One at 8pm on Thursday, October 8.
