Lee Andrews Asks Katie Price for GoFundMe to Fund Prison Release
Lee Andrews Asks Katie Price for GoFundMe for Prison Release

Lee Andrews, the husband of Katie Price, has reportedly asked her to create a GoFundMe page to raise the £140,000 required for his release from a Dubai prison. Andrews was arrested last month on fraud allegations and faces a six-figure fine to leave Al-Awir Central Prison.

Price Refuses to Fund His Release

Initially, Price was willing to pay £6,500 for his release, but she later learned the actual amount is much higher due to another case involving property. Andrews, 43, suggested a fundraiser, but Price responded, “No-one will do that for you, Lee, trust me. Everyone hates you.” The former glamour model, 48, told The Sun she will “never” give him any money, stating, “I've made it clear to Lee, I will never give him money, I'll never give a man money, I've done it all my life, I've always been the breadwinner.”

Price Claims Release Is Imminent

Despite her refusal to pay, Price maintains that Andrews will be released “next week.” She said, “He is coming out, I can't wait to see him, can't wait to have our chats, and he should be out next week, but knowing that, knowing what prisons are like even in England, you never know.”

Andrews’ ex-partner, Dina Taji, who was with him for three and a half years, previously accused him of taking out a £200,000 mortgage in her name without her knowledge after their marriage—a claim he denies. Taji took legal action, resulting in Andrews spending three weeks in a Dubai jail and receiving a travel ban. Two other exes have also labeled him a “liar” and urged Price not to give him money.

Andrews was detained for a “private civil matter” last month but told Price he was kidnapped on suspicion of espionage. He had planned to fly to the UK for a joint interview on Good Morning Britain but failed to appear and could not be contacted. Price and Andrews’ family launched an international appeal, and he was later found “alive and well” at Al Awir Central Prison. He claimed he was “bundled into a van” with his hands tied at the Dubai border and taken to a “black site.” His family filed a missing persons report, but consular staff in Dubai could not find him initially.

Price said Andrews was shocked to discover he had become “the most hated man in prison” due to widespread speculation online. She added that she doesn’t feel she’ll be scammed because she is “protected by the nation” and is ready to end the marriage if she doesn’t get answers. After meeting Andrews’ ex Taji face-to-face, Price said, “My eyes have been opened. I just need some time to think. I still cannot end things with Lee until I’ve spoken to him, but that was a lot.” Sources claim Price feels “confused” and fears heading to divorce court again.
