Kym Marsh 'secretly planning fourth wedding' with fiancé Tom Dickinson
Kym Marsh 'secretly planning fourth wedding'

Kym Marsh is reportedly planning her fourth wedding in secret, just six months after her engagement to Tom Dickinson was made public. The 50-year-old actress is said to have accepted Dickinson's proposal during a romantic trip to Paris earlier this year, having met him only six months prior.

Insiders have told The Sun that despite assumptions the former Coronation Street star might not be in a hurry to marry again, the opposite is true. A source said: "People might have assumed that Kym would get engaged and had no real plans to marry, but that couldn't be further from the truth. She hasn't been put off by her previous marriages and truly does believe Tom is her happy ever after."

Wedding Plans Underway

The insider added that the couple are aiming for a summer wedding and have already started making arrangements. "They know they want to marry next summer, they have looked at venues and are pretty sure they have found the one," the source said. "They have already starting asking their bridesmaids and they have even started reaching out to wedding videographers. Kym is keen to get the main planning out of the way before she goes on tour next year."

Marsh, who rose to fame with Hear'Say in 2001 before playing Michelle Connor in Coronation Street for over a decade and later appearing in Waterloo Road, is reportedly eager to complete the planning before reuniting with her bandmates for a tour next year.

Previous Marriages and Engagement

Marsh was previously married to EastEnders actor Jack Ruder from 2002 until 2009, then to Hollyoaks star Jamie Lomas from 2012 until 2014. In 2021, she married Scott Ratcliff, but the couple separated two years later. Just last year, she said she would not marry for a fourth time, but reports of her engagement to Dickinson emerged in March.

Dickinson is reported to have sought the blessing of Marsh's mother, Pauline, and her children before proposing next to the Eiffel Tower in Paris. "Kym and Tom are on cloud nine and couldn't be happier to be engaged. Their romance has been like a fairytale," a source said.

Public Displays and Comments

Marsh has shared glimpses of their relationship on Instagram, including a selfie taken by Dickinson during a restaurant outing and a September picture of the couple with friends at a bar. In April, while preparing for her role as Beverley in the theatre production of Abigail's Party, she told The Independent about the play's 1970s setting: "You were expected to get married back then. It was almost a little girl's dream. But not for Kym Marsh. I've been married three times, and three times it's not gone well – so no more for me. Three strikes and I'm out."

In September, images surfaced of Marsh's profile on the dating app Hinge, where she described herself as an "actor/presenter" and compared her dating life to "being on the Truman Show – but it's never boring!" The Mirror has approached Marsh's representatives for comment.
