Katie Price's son Harvey moved to residential home after 'ruining the house'
Katie Price's son Harvey moved to residential home

Katie Price has revealed that her 21-year-old son Harvey has been moved into temporary residential care after causing significant damage to her kitchen. The 48-year-old reality star admitted she is finally "chilling" out after a turbulent period with him at home.

Harvey, who has Prader-Willi syndrome, autism, and is partially blind, has been causing havoc in the family home. Speaking on her podcast, The Katie Price Show, Katie confessed that he has destroyed her kitchen cabinets.

Harvey's Move to Temporary Care

Katie explained that Harvey has moved to a temporary residential facility "up the road" while waiting for his permanent placement. She said: "This week I am chilling now. So Harvey has gone to a residential temporary place now, because after three kitchen cabinets and just everything I'm just like, honestly, he is ruining my house."

She added: "I've said he's got to go into this place, the place we have been waiting a year and a half for. So he's gone somewhere else up the road, he's loving it, he's got his own little flat until his place is ready."

Katie detailed Harvey's positive reaction to the new environment, saying: "He FaceTimed me this morning while he was in the swimming pool, showing me the bubbles, when he saw trains. I set it all up for him, done his food shop for the week and he's got the carers there so he can get into the routine for when he moves to Little Hampton. So fingers crossed he likes it."

Weight Loss Journey with Mounjaro

Katie recently gave fans an update on Harvey's weight loss after starting him on Mounjaro jabs. She told her sister Sophie: "He's started Mounjaro because I told you he's lost two stone. And I can really see him here [points to stomach] losing weight."

She had previously discussed her worries about his weight on Andrew Gold's Heretics podcast, saying: "I'm not worried about his eyesight. What I'm worried about is him having a heart attack, his obesity. He weighs just under 30 stone."

Katie explained the challenges of getting Harvey on the medication: "I've tried going private with him to start him on Mounjaro, but because of his medical… it's easy for me to just give it, but because of his other medication, you have to have all the team tick it off."

She added: "It's getting to a point now, where he doesn't want to walk anywhere, he gets out of breath and sweats and they have said he is at high risk of having a heart attack. You try to [force him to walk] but he literally breaks into a sweat. I bath him twice a day and it breaks my heart seeing him get in and out of the bath because he's so big and heavy."
