Katie Price Opens Up About Trust Issues and Life in New Documentary
Katie Price Reveals Trust Issues in New Doc Series

Katie Price has admitted she finds it harder to trust people these days but insists she also finds it difficult to change. The former model and celebrity, 48, has lived a rollercoaster life of multiple marriages and flings with famous faces, as well as earning millions as a glamour model when she was younger.

Trust Issues and Family Circle

The mum-of-five is now married to controversial figure Lee Andrews, who recently went missing in Dubai. On her lifestyle, Katie said: "I just don't think anyone can change me. I say to my mum all the time, 'I'm 48. I'm never going to change. I am what I am. Just get used to it.' She'll say, 'Why do you do this? Why do you do that?' and I'll say, 'Mum, just let me be me.'"

"But I trust my family, and I find it hard to trust anyone. That's why my circle is so small these days. I don't need more friendships or anything. I'm happy with how it is."

New Documentary Series

Katie is now promoting her new four-part Sky documentary. It sees her discuss her four marriages, nine engagements and her life and career so far. It also sees her exes including Dane Bowers and Gareth Gates speak on camera, recalling wild nights and amazing incidents.

Katie insists the thing she craves most now is knowing what she is doing and being in charge. She said: "Being in control of everything. No one controls me now. No one dictates what I do. I still have my little rebellious moments and all of that, but that's just me. My life will never be boring. It's always, 'What's she done now?', and I think it's always going to be like that, but to be honest I like it like that, because it's exciting."

Three Decades in the Spotlight

Since emerging as her alter ego 'Jordan' as a glamour model in 1996, Katie has become one of the most photographed women of her generation. Over the last 30 years her life has played out across newspapers, magazines, reality television and social media, with everything from marriages, motherhood and multi-million pound contracts to scandal, cosmetic surgery, bankruptcy and betrayal.

She said: "Across the whole thirty years, there's always been an element of fun. But if you imagine weighing scales, as much as there's been good, there's equally been bad. As the decades went on, the bad started to take a toll on me, which obviously affected my mental health. But I am a happy girl, and I like to make things fun, different and creative. That's one thing you can't take away from me."

Life Away from Cameras

And despite the chaos in her life, which seems to be a near constant, she insists she likes to have calmness when she is away from the cameras and enjoying family time. Asked what her life is really like, she said: "Very boring, I would say. I love being at home and doing normal things: cooking, putting the fire on, watching TV, having a cup of tea and looking forward to the latest drama or reality show. I ride my horses, walk the dog and get my hair and nails done. That is literally it. I don't go to parties and all of that. Very rarely. I'm just a home girl, which people would probably be surprised to see."

Katie Price: Nothing to Hide, a four-part Sky Original series, will be available on Sky and streaming service NOW on July 8.
