Katie Price has responded to PETA's offer of £5,000 to stop owning pets, saying a vet told her she is a 'good owner.' The charity had called her a 'serial animal killer' after several pets died in her care.
Vet's Assurance
On her podcast, The Katie Price Show, the former glamour model told her sister Sophie that she had asked vets if they could write reports on her animal care. She said the vet replied, 'Don't worry about it, because we all know you're good with your animals.'
Katie added that she told the vet about PETA's offer, saying, 'They've never even met me or never even seen my animals.' The vet assured her that they have everything on record.
Missing Sphynx Cats
The controversy reignited after Katie admitted her Sphynx cats went missing while she was in Dubai visiting her husband, Lee Andrews, who is back in prison. She said the cats returned after she posted on Instagram, explaining that they like to wander in summer but come back.
New Kittens and Current Pets
Katie said she will not keep any of her new kittens and has already found homes for them when they are between eight and ten weeks old. She currently has 17 animals, including seven Sphynx cats, five dogs, and several horses.
Past incidents include a horse killed in 2017 after breaking free, and multiple dogs hit by cars in 2018, 2020, and 2022, with one dying.
