Katie Price: 'Cherish every moment' after devastating news

Katie Price has told fans to "cherish every moment" after saying she received "devastating news". In an Instagram post, the 48-year-old reality star wrote about the importance of looking after health and family.

"Had devastating news tonight," she wrote. "Love, health and family is so important. Cherish every moment with loved ones and build memories."

Price clarified that she was not talking about her mother Amy, who is terminally ill with a lung condition called idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.

Mother's health and court testimony

While testifying at her ex-husband Kieran Hayler's trial earlier this month, Price told the court that her 74-year-old mother was "dying at the moment" and had just "days" to live. Hayler, 39, was last week acquitted of raping and sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl in 2016 when he was married to Price.

Price and Hayler divorced in 2021. The media personality later married businessman Lee Andrews in Dubai earlier this year, her fifth marriage, which became the subject of gossip as reports claimed Andrews was a scammer and con artist, in addition to him spending time in prison during their marriage.

Split from Lee Andrews

After defending her relationship for months, Price confirmed in September that they had split and she intends to divorce Andrews following reports that she had found out he had lied about his wealth.

During an appearance on Good Morning Britain, Price was made to listen to a voice note recorded by Andrews from the Al Awir prison, where he is being held for an alleged civil matter. In the voice note, Andrews, who met Price on social media and married her within days of her visiting him in Dubai, denied that he had lied to Katie about his £37m crypto fortune after she reportedly discovered his account contained just £2.

"No doubt this will be played live, which is not what I really want but I have never thrown Katie under the bus," he said, maintaining that Price had read the numbers incorrectly and that he did have the funds in his wallet.

"I think divorce is probably for the best," he said. "She has her points of view and yes, we were in love, I do believe. I am due out of jail very soon. Unfortunately there's a war going on and things are delayed, you can't get into civil cases you're detained for."

In the studio, Price insisted that her decision to divorce Andrews had nothing to do with his money as she'd "never been with a man with money". "I'm self made and I have my own money," she said. "With Lee it's never been about money… but I feel he has scammed me because he fabricated a person that doesn't exist."
