Reality television star Katie Price has broken her silence following the disturbing news that her former husband Kieran Hayler faces serious sexual offence charges involving a teenage girl.
The 45-year-old media personality expressed her profound shock and distress after learning that Hayler, her third husband, has been charged with rape and sexual activity with a child under 16.
Charges That Have Rocked the Family
Hayler, 36, now faces multiple serious allegations including:
- Rape of a girl aged 13
- Multiple counts of sexual activity with a child
- Sexual assault against the same minor
The alleged offences are said to have occurred over several months between 2022 and 2023, sending shockwaves through their already complicated family dynamic.
Price's Emotional Response
In her first public statement since the charges emerged, Price revealed: "I am absolutely devastated by these allegations. As a mother, my immediate concern is for my children and protecting them from this horrific situation."
The couple, who married in 2013 during a turbulent relationship, share two children together - son Jett, 9, and daughter Bunny, 8. Price also has three other children from previous relationships.
A Troubled Relationship History
Price and Hayler's marriage was notoriously rocky, marked by multiple separations and public revelations of infidelity before their eventual divorce in 2021.
Their relationship has remained in the public eye due to Price's various reality shows and media appearances, making these latest developments particularly shocking for fans who followed their story.
Legal Proceedings Underway
Hayler appeared before magistrates in Worthing, West Sussex, last month where the charges were formally presented. The case has since been transferred to Crown Court for further proceedings.
A spokesperson for Sussex Police confirmed the charges relate to "serious sexual offences against a child" and emphasized that the investigation remains ongoing.
Price concluded her statement by requesting privacy for her family during this challenging time, stating: "I ask that the media respect our need for space as we navigate this incredibly difficult period, especially for the sake of our children."
