Axed Love Island star Jordon Wilson has confessed his real feelings for fellow contestant Jasmine Muller, suggesting their connection ran far deeper than home audiences might have grasped.
Jordon and Jasmine's Casa Amor Connection
The duo crossed paths during the ITV2 reality programme's Casa Amor segment, where the boys and girls are split up and meet six fresh bombshells. Social media figure Jordon entered the main villa as one of the new arrivals attempting to turn heads. Jasmine was taking time out at that point with her partner Kavan Murphy and discovered chemistry with Jordon, though she was hesitant to take things further before Kavan's comeback.
In a divisive decision, she instead urged her fellow islander Priya Jaswal to pair up with Jordon, securing him a lasting place in the main villa so she could keep exploring their connection without recoupling. When Kavan made his way back to the main villa with bombshell Charleen Murphy by his side, his relationship with Jasmine appeared to be crumbling, yet he quickly reversed his stance and worked to reclaim her affections. His efforts paid off, and viewers recently witnessed the pair profess their love for one another.
Jordon's Exit Interview Revelations
Since departing the villa, Jordon has revealed fresh insights into his bond with Jasmine. "With Jasmine, I genuinely think if I came in a little bit earlier that could have definitely worked out. She said to me 'I wish you'd come in at the beginning and we'd have definitely had something'," he revealed in his exit interview with ITV.
"I think once you're already four or five weeks into something with someone it's scary to leave that commitment when there's feelings already built. I think it could've been something."
Failed Bonds with Priya and Martha
Priya did choose Jordon to bring back from Casa Amor, yet the duo struggled to forge any meaningful bond and he subsequently pursued fellow bombshell Martha. Nevertheless, they too failed to advance beyond a friendship pairing. "With Priya it was a weird one - as soon as we coupled up it just felt like a friendship. I tried to ignore that and make it a bit more flirty and see if it could go somewhere but it wasn't clicking in that way. There's no negative with Priya, it was just more friendly vibes," he confessed.
"Initially when Martha came back from Casa and we saw each other for the first time I could tell we were both attracted to each other. She's a little bit mysterious, you don't know everything about her straight away so that for me was intriguing. However, a couple of days in to being in a couple started to feel like it wasn't going anywhere. I just think the compatibility wasn't there and how we are as people - I need someone that's really affectionate and it's clear they're into me and I didn't really get that so it kind of fizzled. We agreed we weren't really a good match."
Love Island airs Sundays to Fridays at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX. The final of Series 13 will air on July 27.
