Joe Swash couldn't hide his delight as he revealed his 'biggest milestone' to date in his major plan to have his own fishing lake and open a glamping site with Stacey Solomon. The couple, who tied the knot in 2022 and share three children, have documented their expansion plans beyond Pickle Cottage in their BBC reality series.
Fish Arrive at Bottom Lake
On Thursday, July 16, Swash told his followers: 'We have fish.' Alongside a video documenting their arrival, the former EastEnders star wrote: 'This has got to be one of the biggest milestones for me and the lake… A couple of weeks ago we finally got our fish!'
Swash explained that they chose to rehome common carp that had been attacked by otters and left with damaged tails. 'We were delighted to give them a new home. They’ll now spend the summer in the safety of my Bottom Lake giving them the chance to recover, regrow their tails and thrive,' he said.
He thanked Andrew from The Carp Company for his expertise, adding that the day was made special by sharing it with his family: 'Stacey and the kids helped introduce the fish to their new home making it a memory we’ll all treasure forever.'

Fans shared in his joy, with comments such as: 'So happy for Joe. His dream finally coming to fruition!' and 'This is so special.. he’s so frickin excited! Go Joe.' Another fan wrote: 'Loving Joe's dream is coming true and how great it's all looking.'
Stacey & Joe Series Returns
The BBC confirmed in April that Stacey & Joe will return for a third series, following the couple as they juggle work, parenting, pets, and their lake and glamping project. According to the broadcaster, the series 'follows the warmth, chaos and humour of family life at Pickle Cottage.'
New Ponies Join the Menagerie
Earlier, Stacey Solomon revealed the arrival of two rescued ponies, Thumbelina and Mermaid, from Redwings Horse Sanctuary. She said: 'We are officially Pony Foster Parents. Thumbelina was seriously neglected when she was rescued by Redwings who saved her & mermaid’s owner could no longer look after her.' Solomon added that Redwings will provide guidance, and a friend from Hopefield Animal Sanctuary will help care for the ponies.
