Zion Foster, the ex-partner of singer Jesy Nelson, has publicly confirmed his new relationship with girlfriend Sav, sharing matching tattoos and addressing online criticism.
The 27-year-old musician split from the former Little Mix star earlier this year after their twin daughters Ocean and Story were diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 1 (SMA). In September, reports emerged that he had found love again with a mystery woman, who was later named.
Public Announcement and Backlash
Taking to Instagram, Zion shared a video montage of himself with his new girlfriend, including clips of them kissing. He captioned the post: "It's crazy how so many people are triggered seeing me happy." Sav commented "Meu amor," which translates from Portuguese to "My love."
When one social media user criticised Zion, asking "Are you okay with your bf being a deadbeat dad?", Sav responded: "I know the person I share my life with. You only know about what you see online. There's a big difference."
Supportive Messages and Jesy's New Relationship
Many others shared their happiness for Zion, with comments including "All the best for you," "Be happy, tomorrow isn't promised," "I think it's a beautiful thing," and "The noise might be loud, but the love is louder."
Jesy, 34, has also moved on with her boyfriend, Ben Davies, recently sharing loved-up snaps from a romantic getaway to Paris. The pair publicly announced their relationship last month when she shared their first picture together before heading to the National Television Awards, writing "Forgot to mention."
Co-Parenting After SMA Diagnosis
Jesy and Zion welcomed their daughters Ocean Jade and Story Monroe Nelson-Foster prematurely last May. The twins have a severe form of SMA, a condition that kills muscles in the body over time.
After his split from Jesy, Zion said he was "out of my depth; emotionally, physically and mentally." He later clarified he was reflecting on the "overwhelming reality of suddenly facing a rare and complex medical diagnosis" and that being out of his depth meant he was learning. He said: "I attend every appointment. I educate myself every single day about their condition. I ask questions. I listen. I learn. I support them however I can because being their father is the greatest responsibility and privilege of my life."
The pair remain friends and co-parent their daughters, with Zion adding: "I feel the pain alongside Jesy because they are our children, and I always want what's best for them."
